AWESOME WALL DRILL TO DO WITH A PARTNER
TBH, I’m not drilling much these days. BUT when I do need a tune-up, the wall is always waiting for me. For instance, this week I have been using it to break in a new paddle, so I can get a feel for it BEFORE I hit the courts. I also flagged down my buddy Andrew and showed him this cool reset drill you and YOUR partner can also do against a wall. FYI: We’re all just another brick in the wall.
HOW TO PLAY BETTER PICKLEBALL BOOK EXCERPT
This chapter is included in the middle section of the book on The Mind, which I feel is a really important component needed to get the max out of your potential. It’s the part of the book that reviewers seem to enjoy the most. Find the book on Amazon.
COMEDY VIDEO OF THE WEEK
If you couldn’t tell by now, I like to break pickleball out of the box, creatively speaking. I feel like, for such a fun sport, there are way too many serious people covering it. With that said, here’s our favorite (and only) BBC British pickleball correspondent Chaz Jones with a special guest!
THIS WEEK IN OUR PICKLEBALL POD
If you didn’t get the chance to listen to this week’s Bite Size Pickleball podcast you can find it on the Apple podcast app (available on every Apple device), Spotify, Amazon, or directly on our official site. This week I am ranting about the need to develop your mind game.
My pet peeve is that 99% of players who practice, and want to get better, only practice their skills on the court. But it is the 1% who practice their MIND skills off the court that will rise above the rest. Not only in pickleball, but in life. Got flow?
Do not adjust your dial, you are NOT getting sleepy. Actually, go to sleep! You need your rest for pickleball in the morning.
